Ready to ditch the day and slip into something more comfortable? Course you are, and so are we! So welcome to our TreatBox "Get Unready with Me" routine for those nights when you just want to unwind and going out is the last thing on your mind. So grab your comfiest PJs, and let's get started!

Step 1: Set the Mood

First things first, let's create the right ambience shall we:

• Dim the lights or light some candles, preferably both

• Put on your favourite chill playlist

• Maybe even start up that essential oil diffuser you keep forgetting about


Step 2: Face First

Yes, it’s time to get that makeup off and let your skin breathe:

• Start with a gentle makeup remover or cleansing balm

• Follow up with your favourite face wash

• Don't forget to double cleanse if you've been wearing heavy makeup

Pro tip: Use a soft, fluffy headband to keep your hair out of your face during this very important process. It also really adds to the cosy night in aesthetic - cute, but oh so practical.

Step 3: Mask Magic

After you’re make up free and feeling fresh, it’s time to treat your skin to some extra TLC:

• Apply a face mask that suits your skin's needs

• Pop on some under-eye patches to brighten and de-puff (or use one of our self heating eye masks afterwards!)

• Use those precious minutes while the mask works its magic to scroll guilt free, or read a few pages of your book

Step 4: Hydration Station

After removing your mask, and reluctantly putting the bookmark in just as the enemies were about to become lovers:

• Apply your favourite toner

• Layer on some serums (vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, whatever your skin loves)

• Seal it all in with a rich night cream

• Brush out any tangles gently with your favourite brush, you don’t have to count to 100 but if you fancy channelling Pride & Prejudice we’re not going to stop you

• If it's wash night, use a silky scrunchie for a loose, comfy bun that screams ‘I’m staying in’

Step 7: Soothing Sips

At this point you should be feeling pretty bloody amazing, freshly washed, in fresh PJs, we’re living the dream over here. But before the night can truly begin we should probably pop the kettle on, because why break the habit of a lifetime! 

• Make yourself a relaxing herbal tea if you’re feeling angelic

• Or hot chocolate for a sweet treat if you need that extra warm hug

• And if a glass of wine trips and falls into your hand that’s okay too. GURWM has no rules!


Step 8: Let The Entertainment Begin

Ready to let the real world fade away? Us too! It’s time hunker down and let the true relaxation begin:

• Queue up your favourite feel-good movie or TV show, one you know will get that serotonin flowing!

• Open the book that’s been on your TBR for way too long

• Or maybe just fire up facetime have a long overdue chat about nothing and everything with your bestie
