I thought it was about time I shared more about me and behind the brand. I am not going to lie writing doesn't come easy to me; I find it hard to put how I feel and my views down into words. But I think it is such a great way to connect with you, so I want to give it my best shot!

I wanted to share with you my 'why' and why I am so passionate about TreatBoxes values and everything it stands for.  

TreatBox has two sides. The monthly subscription box  and Build a Box.

I started the monthly box in 2015. My partner worked full time, and I stayed at home looking after our children in a town where I didn’t know many people we had not long moved, I had Luca and Evelyn. Luca was four and Evelyn was two, I needed something to fill the gaps, that sounds a little crazy, fill the gaps? What gaps? You have two small children; surely there aren’t any gaps? Well there was, of course, I loved spending time with my children, but I felt lonely and needed something that was for me, I'd always wanted to do something of my own, run my own business but didn’t ever feel like it was possible with a low income and two young children, how would I even start?

At this time subscription boxes were growing in popularity but were mostly beauty boxes, and nothing felt all that special to me. Feeling lonely and not getting much time for myself I thought how lovely it would be to receive a little pick-me-up package now and again and so TreatBox was born.

I designed TreatBox to remind you that you are worth being kind to and to take some time to look after you, a little reminder you are doing alright, and each box is filled with the positivity you might need to keep going, and really the perfect pick me up to start a new month and making each item which is featured in the box useful.

PERSONALISED GIFTS THAT QUITE LITERALLY, GO THE DISTANCE

From the success of the monthly TreatBoxBuild a Box was created. I was looking for a gift for a friend who was struggling, I wanted to be there to comfort her, but it wasn't physically possible; she lived miles away. Flowers and other gifts didn't feel personal enough to me. I wanted something from me that I picked for my friend with a private handwritten message, and I knew this was something that needed to be in the world; something that connects loved ones afar and to be able to let them know you are there for them, a hug through the post when you can't be there in person.

I feel so passionate, and I care how that loved one feels when they open their Treatbox, and I want them to feel like the box had been wrapped with so much love, just for them. The daily gift messages we receive with each order is heart-warming being able to spread joy, love and gratitude between family and friends when the world can sometimes feel like a gloomy place will always make me so happy!
