If you’re feeling down with how things are in the world at the moment, you are not alone. As the world goes back to the "new normal" there may be still a time when you or a loved one has to self-isolate. So we have 8 things you can do if you are self-isolating or have a friend that maybe having to do so.

1. HOME IMPROVEMENTS

If you’re stuck inside, and well, it’s time to do that project that’s been lingering on your conscience. Whether it’s a full redecoration project or wanting to rearrange your space, you might be spending a lot of time there, so make sure you like it!

2. ALL THE READING

If you have shelves of books that you haven’t got round to reading, now’s your time! Doing some reading is also a good screen break if you have to stay at home.

3. SEND HAPPY MAIL

This is perfect if you have any Birthday's coming up during your lockdown time, or you want to cheer up one of your gang. Don’t lose touch with your friends, go old fashioned and send them a letter, why not send them one of our Build Your Own boxes. That way you can give them things to do and enjoy whilst still making the effort from a distance.

4. GET ORGANISED

Write a list of Birthdays and occasions coming up and stock up on gifts and cards. If you have the storage space, you can be super organised and have gifts ready and waiting once all this is over.

5. HAVE A GOOD SORT OUT

When you’re stuck at home, it’s a good idea to look at everything you have and evaluate what you actually use and need and consider getting rid of the rest. From things you subscribe to and don't use, to all that paperwork you have been holding on to over the years. It’s the ideal time to channel your inner Marie Kondo.

6. SET UP VIDEO DATES

If you’re missing your regular coffee catch-ups with your friends and feeling a bit lonely, use your friend's modern technology! Get your cuppa of choice ready and set up a video date with your buddies!

7. BINGE A BOX SET

As if you needed an excuse! As you might not be able to go out or are keeping going out to a minimum, you can catch up on the TV you’ve missed, or binge on that box set everyone’s talking about.

8. LEARN A NEW SKiLL

Always wanted to start a YouTube channel or learn how to knit? Use this time to swat up on that thing you always said you’d do ‘if you had more time’. Once this is all over with, you’ll emerge with a selection of brand new skills under your belt!

This is all dependent on whether you are well and able. And regardless of your situation, our letterbox gifts ensure that your friends know you are thinking with them, even if you can't be with them this summer.
